AZS SWSM

AZS SWSM STUDENT’S SPORT ASSOCIATION

The Students’ Sport Association (part of the national University Sport Association – AZS) was established as an initiative of the students of Silesian College of Medicine in Katowice and approved by the Resolution of the authorities of the Main Board of AZS on October 11, 2014.

The club brings together physically active students and employees of our Academy as well as all fans of sport. The Association members can participate in the Polish Academic Championships (AMP) and the Academic Championships of Silesia (AMŚ).

On April 6, 2024, elections for members of the new board of our university AZS were held. The BOARD of the KU AZS was elected by voting, consisting of:

How to become a member of the Students’ Sport Association?

We encourage you to register and extend your membership. If you have any difficulties with the system, please contact the members of the AZS university board. The fee depends on the section you choose. Just like last year, you can still purchase club membership only for the purpose of participating in classes organized by our AZS, but we encourage you to actively participate and represent AZS in provincial and national arenas in many possible disciplines.

 

What does AZS membership give you?

 

In addition to a beautiful ID and the opportunity to start in many sports competitions, you also purchase insurance, which is available in 3 variants of the amount to choose from. More information can be found here.

Sports goal

Participation in sports competitions and achieving the best possible results in individual and team competition at the regional and national level

Shaping and strengthening positive moral and ethical traits and behaviors of students, including in particular: honesty, perseverance, courage, respect for truth, self-discipline, fair play

Caring for both physical health and shaping pro-health attitudes, acquiring the ability to take care of systematic sports and recreational activity, leading a hygienic lifestyle
